Innovation is a component of MHSA that should originate from the community’s wants and needs.CAMHPRO | LEAD
How does your county decide on Innovation Projects through the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)? Do you want to have more input and have ideas on how to make that happen? Have you seen a community input process that worked really well or not at all?
Innovation is a component of MHSA that should originate from the community’s wants and needs. It is also a way for counties to do things they have not tried before or to apply existing projects and services in a new way. Community input is an essential element in the creating, planning, and implementation of all Innovation Projects in California. CAMHPRO is assisting with a project that will offer support and change to the process for Innovation Projects through the Mental Health Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC).
Your involvement and experiences can influence and shape this collaboration. We want your voice to be heard. Join CAMHPRO in a Listening Session for consumer/peer discussion about the Community Planning Process for Innovations.
Meeting will be held on June 2, 2021 at 1pm
Join CAMHPRO, Painted Brain, and SHARE! in a community input meeting to give your opinion on the use of Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs). This new take on an existing tool, part of a multi-county Innovation Project through the Mental Health Services Act, is to bring the peer community up to date on using PADs and to build momentum toward standardizing and increasing the effectiveness of PADs. Hear from advocates who support PADs and add your experience to the conversation.
There are 2 dates, so choose what fits your schedule best:
June 5, 2021 at 12pm. or June 8, 2021 at 3pm
