Painted Brain creates lasting community-based solutions to mental health challenges and the impact of social injustice through arts, advocacy, and enterprise.

The Mental Health Services Oversight & Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) funds the LEAD Program in a statewide education and outreach grant supported by the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). The role of the MHSOAC is to oversee the implementation of the MHSA.   The MHSOAC is also responsible for developing strategies to overcome stigma.  At any time, the MHSOAC may advise the Governor or the Legislature on mental health policy. 

La Comisión de Responsabilidad y Supervisión de Servicios de Salud Mental (MHSOAC) financia el Programa LEAD en una subvención de educación y divulgación en todo el estado respaldada por la Ley de Servicios de Salud Mental (MHSA). El papel del MHSOAC es supervisar la implementación del MHSA. El MHSOAC también es responsable de desarrollar estrategias para superar el estigma. En cualquier momento, la MHSOAC puede asesorar al gobernador o la legislatura sobre la política de salud mental.

T.E.A.C.H., Inc. is a broad based, multi-purpose non-profit organization that was established in 1979. We administer a wide variety of programs funded by grants Federal, State and private funding sources. T.E.A.C.H. provides services to the entire population of Modoc County, not just the low income. Many programs are subcontracted T.E.A.C.H. from other county agencies.
