Supporting Leaders in Cultural Conversations

When what we believe and how we behave don’t line up we can experience some uncomfortable emotions.
In the case of racism and internalized racism, we can find ourselves digging our heals in and saying things like, “but I’m not racist,” when no one even asked. Together, let’s explore how we can increase our capacity to lead these responsible conversations in peer spaces. You’re not alone. We’re all looking for ways to connect with people who don’t fit inside the societal norm. Let’s explore strategies to do just that!

Importance of Self-Care in Avoiding Burnout

Empty cups. Dead batteries. No spoons left.
No matter what analogy we use, burnout is a real phenomenon.
Peer work cannot be sustainable without a game plan that does more than keep our heads above water.
Leadership can mean opportunities for modeling our strategies and helping our peers develop their own.
